The Continental

A budget-conscious minimal design for a quintessential Italian restaurant and bar in Mallop Street, Geelong. The venue is spread over two side-by-side shopfronts and features a fully stocked bar with a tight footprint requiring efficient design and storage. The rest of the restaurant featured simple materials and clever solutions to conceal existing spaces such as cool rooms, an office and storage. The lighting and furniture were selected to reflect the classic retro aesthetic of the bar, all highlighting the classic coffee machine featured in the front of the bar.
